1) The Bible is the inspired Word of God (II Timothy 3:16), spoken to and written by men that were moved by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is incorruptible, infallible and without error. It is God’s instructions for life.
2) God is one, but manifested as three persons - The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). God the Father is sovereign and greater than all (Psalm 47:2). Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who became flesh (John 1:14). The Holy Spirit proceeds from both the Father and the Son, and is eternal (John 10:30).
3) Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God (Genesis 1:26). He was created to enjoy a glory-filled relationship with God. Even though sin separates man from God, Jesus’ birth, life mission, death and resurrection was all about restoring mankind to that glory-filled relationship Adam enjoyed in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:8).
4) Sin came into the world through the transgression and fall of Adam (Romans 5:12). Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was sent to undo and destroy the work of Satan by shedding his blood and dying on the cross, to redeem, deliver, heal and restore man back to God (I John 3:8). Jesus died for all our sins, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:10).
5) Salvation, or being born again, is necessary to all men. It is the gift of God to man, which is given by grace through faith in Jesus Christ…not gained by the works of man (Romans 6:23). Salvation is God's "FREE" gift to man. Therefore, there is nothing man can do to earn this salvation (Ephesians 2:8). It is only received through accepting Jesus Christ as Savior, believing that He is God, and that He died on the cross and rose again (Romans 10:9, 10, 13). Those who receive salvation will be saved and live forever in the presence of God in heaven. Salvation cost Jesus His life, so rejecting such a gift is the ultimate sign of rejecting God Himself.
6) Jesus Christ was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:23). This virgin birth was a sign that God wanted to be Jesus’ Father. Because life is in the blood, God wanted Jesus to establish a family, to be the first born among many yet to come (Romans 8:29). Being born of God, Jesus was without sin, as the Bible describes it (Hebrews 4:15). Through Jesus, God wanted to establish a pedigree that would fulfill all of the legal requirements to redeem mankind back to God (Acts 20:28).
7) Baptism in water is a symbol of the Christian's identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. The act of Water Baptism does not save anyone, but is a vital aspect in the continuing process of declaring Who Christ is in our lives. It is an outward sign of an inward work, symbolizing how we are raised in newness of life through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:4).
8) Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God and the experience is accompanied by the evidence of speaking in other tongues, as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance (Acts 2). The Holy Spirit lives inside every believer and provides them with guidance and the power of understanding the spiritual truth (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit gives life, anoints and enables believers to fulfill the Word of God (I John 2:27). Otherwise, we are powerless to do so. There are fruits that the Holy Spirit exists in our hearts and lives (Galatians 5:22, 23). In addition, He gives ministry gifts and spiritual gifts to believers to convince the world that he is very much alive! (Ephesians 4:11, 12; I Corinthians 12 & 14).
9) Divine healing is part of the package offered through Salvation. Jesus established healing as God’s will for mankind (Acts 10:38). It is part of the finished work of the cross (Isaiah 53:5). Healing is appropriate by faith in God’s ability, not men. The Word of God encourages us to lay hands on the sick. The result is…”and they shall healed”. Signs, wonders and miracles should be a daily occurrence in the life of believers (Mark 16:17).
10) Man was created to exist forever, and Heaven and Hell are real places. Heaven was created for mankind to enjoy God and His presence forever (I Thessalonians 4:17). Hell was created for the devil and the angelic hosts that rebelled against God in eternity past (Matthew 25:41). However, anyone who physically dies in his sins without accepting Jesus Christ in their life is hopelessly and eternally lost. They will have no more opportunity for repentance or hearing the gospel (Luke 16:24; Jude 1:6). God is just. He does not send anyone to Hell. It is the reward for those who chose not to follow Him. Jesus will come a second time, as He promised (John 14:2). What a glorious day that will be!
